Next: wrestling with textured ceilings, budgeting for carpet, and debating whether to prime or wallpaper before going bold with orange. It’s messy, expensive, and full of grit, but this booth is slowly becoming the soundproof sanctuary I always envisioned.

This week, the booth build escalated: plasterboard dust showers, sheep’s wool insulation, and enough adhesive spray to stick me to the wall if I wasn’t careful. I tackled stubborn paint, filled every rogue hole, and muscled through dB Soundboard panels with a Stanley knife and sheer determination. With acoustic plasterboard and sealant now in play, the space is starting to look, and sound, like something truly special.
