What are your working hours?

My standard working hours are 09:00–18:00 (GMT/BST) Monday to Friday. However, I may accommodate requests outside of these hours for an additional fee, subject to project urgency or time zone differences. Weekends already incur an extra fee.

Do you work on weekends and holidays?

Yes, I am able to work on weekends and holidays, however, they incur an extra fee.

When are you available, and how quickly can you complete a project?

My availability is quite flexible depending on other projects and schedules, which you will be made aware of in advance.

Completion of a project will depend entirely on the above, as well as the length of the provided script. 
If you have an impending deadline and require a fast service, this will be discussed prior to hiring and will incur an extra fee.

What is your response time to queries?

I aim to respond within 24 hours, with an average turnaround of 12 hours. Response times may vary depending on whether your inquiry falls within my standard working hours.

Question 5

Can I get a sample before hiring?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can request a sample of up to 30 words of your script before hiring my services.

Note: This will be watermarked  so that it cannot be used for any purpose before hiring.

Question 6

Do I need to pay a usage or buyout fee?

Accepted Answer

You need to pay a usage fee if you intend to use my voice for any purpose for a limited amount of time. These can be purchased for 3 months or 12 months at a time (e.g. you can purchase 2 x 3 months if you require 6 months of usage).

You need to pay a buyout fee if you intend to use my voice indefinitely for any purpose

Some usage/buyout fees are already included in the session fee, but this will all be made clear during discussions and in your invoice.

Do you provide sound editing with every recording?

Unless specifically requested not to, I edit all recordings to remove noise floor, gain buzz, breaths and clicks to create a clean, crisp recording for your project.

Question 8

Can you add background music or sound effects to your recordings?

Accepted Answer

Yes I can. We will discuss what you require beforehand and a tailored fee will be added.

Question 9

Do you provide revisions?

Accepted Answer

If the recording does not meet your expectations due to sound quality, I offer one complimentary revision.
For any other adjustments, additional revisions will incur extra fees.

How does payment work?

Accepted Answer

After discussing your project with you I will provide an initial invoice with all discussed fees, and my bank and PayPal details.

For NEW clients: an upfront deposit is required before work commences.

For ALL clients: upon completion, I will deliver the final recording. If any further revisions are required then these will be completed and sent to you alongside a completion invoice once everyone is happy. 
This invoice will include all discussed fees from the initial invoice as well as further incurred fees making up the remaining balance. Payment of this remaining balance will be due within 48 hours of delivery.

Per my Terms and Conditions, the recording must not be used until full payment has been received, where I will provide a receipt for your payment.

Can I pay in instalments?

Unfortunately, payment can not be paid in instalments. The full payment must be issued within 48 hours of delivery.

Which voiceover genres or categories are your strongest areas of expertise?

Accepted Answer

I excel in voiceovers requiring an RP accent, as it's a specialty of mine due to being my natural accent. However, I also have experience across various genres, including narration, character-driven performances, and more. My versatility allows me to adapt to different styles and project needs.

I also specialise in medical narration and e-learning projects due to my background as a Paramedic.

Can I hire you for projects that require a writer, musician or actor?

My primary service is voiceover work; however, I may be available for writing, music, or acting projects depending on the scope and my availability. Each request will be assessed individually, with pricing tailored to the specific needs of the project.

Question 14

Will you accept scripts with explicit topics and language?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For an extra fee I will accept scripts involving cursing, vulgar/sexual language and taboo subjects. This fee will be tailored depending on the severity of explicit language.

What is your recording setup?

My recording setup currently consists of:
- Rode NT1 (5th Gen) Microphone with pop filter, shock absorber, noise isolation shield and boom arm.
- M-Audio 192 | 4 Interface
- Mac Studio with access to Reaper, Logic Pro, Garageband and DaVinci Resolve for editing, recording and dubbing.
- High-spec Windows laptop with access to Reaper and DaVinci Resolve for editing and dubbing (so I can work on post-recording from anywhere).
- Utilisation of Scrivener/Word/PDF for scripts
- Basic noise isolation on hard surfaces.

I am currently in the process of building a professional-standard recording booth in my own home which will include soundproofing and noise isolation with outstanding acoustics. This will allow me to record to ACX standards with no plug-ins required. My ETA for the completion of this build is the end of July 2025.

Do you allow directed recording sessions?

Yes, I do. This will incur an extra fee and will be dependent on my availability surrounding other projects.
