Ambience and sound beds are at the heart of Sound & Script Studio's sound design.
From eerie cinematic drones and layered environmental textures to calm background atmospheres for narration, games, video and immersive experiences, these pieces are designed to shape the emotional space around a story. Rather than simply filling silence, each sound bed is built to support tone, tension, location and pacing, giving your project a richer sense of place and atmosphere.
We may absolutely freak out at horror in real life, but we love building the tense, unsettling undertones that make horror, thrillers and darker scenes work. Subtle drones, uncomfortable textures, distant sounds and carefully placed details can make an audience feel that something is wrong before they know why. That kind of atmospheric storytelling is one of our favourite things to create, because when sound design is done properly, the listener does not just hear the scene, they step into it.
If we are creeped out, we know it's been done right.
WORKFLOW

DISCUSSION
We start with a conversation about your project — what it is, what you need it to feel like, and where it's going. Whether you have a locked picture, a rough cut, or just a brief, this is where we figure out the right approach together.

SPOTTING & PLANNING
Once I understand the project, we identify exactly where sound design is needed — which moments, which emotions, which gaps. For video work this is called a spotting session. For games or audio-only work, we'll map out the full asset list.

A clear quote is provided based on scope — number of assets, complexity, usage, and turnaround.
Note: Nothing starts until we're aligned AND the deposit is received.

SOUND DESIGN & BUILD
This is where the work happens. SFX are sourced, created, or recorded. Layers are built. Everything is crafted to serve your project's tone and technical requirements.
